Dr. Michael Martinez is an interventional pain management specialist at Tampa Bay Spine & Sport, dedicated to providing advanced, non-surgical solutions for spine and joint pain. His clinical expertise includes epidural steroid injections, sacroiliac (SI) joint injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, sympathetic nerve blocks, and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy.

Dual board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. Martinez combines a strong academic foundation with specialized clinical training. He earned his Bachelor of Science from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he trained in the multidisciplinary management of acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain.
